Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni turns 37 today, and the whole cricketing fraternity took to their twitter handle to wish one of the greatest ever skippers in the world.

Among the wishes which kept flowing by, the former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar was also there. Through his tweet, he also asked the fans whether they have any idea that how many matches Dhoni has won as a skipper for India across formats.

“Wishing @msdhoni a very Happy birthday and a great year ahead! Do you know how many matches #Dhoni has won for India as a captain? #HappyBirthdayMSDhoni #Rawalpindiexpress,” Akhtar said.

Dhoni is one of the greatest ever skippers of all time and is the only captain in the world to lead his nation to victories in all three major ICC trophies. It includes the ICC World Cup, ICC World Twenty20 and the ICC Champions Trophy.

MS Dhoni’s form with the bat isn’t quite the same, and his reflexes have also diminished to a certain extent. However, he is still a big force to reckon with for every opposition.

On his day, Dhoni still can demolish any bowling line-up. It was quite evident during the Indian Premier League where he scored more than 400 runs and smashed more than 30 sixes.

It was the return of the Vintage Dhoni which saw his emergence in world cricket. Despite age being not by his side, he is still one of the fittest cricketers in the world. The way he runs even today is praiseworthy for a cricketer who has well past his prime. His facial hairs may have all grown grey, but his charisma and aura is still something special.

He is currently busy in the ongoing T20I series against England. The former skipper scored a fluent 32 off 24 deliveries in the 2nd T20I which included five fours.

However, India failed to seal the series and lost the match by five wickets. It also enabled England to claw their way back into the series and level it 1-1. Dhoni will be a vital member for India when they lock horns in the quadrennial event next year in the same country.
