Young India seamer, Siddharth Kaul had a funny question for his SRH teammate, Alex Hales and the England team who registered the highest-ever ODI score to beat Australia by a massive margin of 242 runs at Trent Bridge.

Meanwhile, Kaul and Hales were teammates at the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the recently concluded IPL. Though Kaul was a regular feature, Hales struggled to cement his place.

However, he put to rest all speculations with a magnificent knock of 147 guiding England to a mammoth total. A good opening show from Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy ensured England are in line for a big score. The duo added 159 runs before Hales joined the party.

The tall and lanky brought his century in just 62 balls, the sixth-fastest in England’s history. He showed tremendous power but also nice placement and shot selection.

Despite losing Bairstow (139) and Jos Buttler, Morgan hammered up a 21-ball century to add to Australia’s misery.

In reply to hosts 481, Australia never looked in line to chase down the target. They lost wickets at quick succession with the spinning duo returning with seven wickets.

As a result, Australia stumbled for a mere 239 runs, ensuring their heaviest loss in ODI history.

Kaul poses a funny question

The young seamer, who got his maiden India call for the upcoming England series talked highly of England’s batting. Further, he used all the possible adjectives to describe that carnage.

Kaul also asked Hales & Co what they had for breakfast in the morning of the match day.

Hello brother @AlexHales1. What did you and the rest of your team had for breakfast this morning? Brilliant, Surreal, Superb hitting. Scoring almost half a thousand runs in ODI cricket against any bowling attack and on any ground is no mean task. #ENGvAUS,” the tweet read.
