Virat Kohli is a tough competitor and hardly gives an inch. He likes to shown his passion for the game through his aggression and likes to lift the morale of the side. Virat Kohli has drawn a lot of parallels to the ‘master blaster’ in modern day cricket. He has made record breaking look easy and is the heart of the team now.
Significantly, Kohli has also broken some of the records set by Tendulkar and has grown up to be the next big thing in international cricket. With 43 ODI centuries to his name, Kohli is only six behind to equal Tendulkar’s record of 49, in lesser innings. For his brilliance with the bat, he has often been compared to Tendulkar.
If I sledged Virat Kohli, he might get angry and lose his wicket: Wasim Akram
Wasim Akram has bowled against the likes of Sachin Tendulkar. He explained the temperament of both the batsmen. He said both are aggressive but different in nature. If Sachin Tendulkar was sledged, he would still remain determined as he is calm in nature but Virat Kohli might get angry and lose his wicket.
“He (Virat) is the modern great but compared to Sachin, these are two different players altogether. Both are aggressive but of varying nature. As a bowler you look at a batsman’s body language, if I sledged Tendulkar he would have become more determined because he was aggressive but calm in nature,” Akram said.
“On the other hand, if I did the same to Kohli, he might get angry and try to attack me which gives me a good chance to take his wicket,” the he added.
