Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Khan last played for his national team in 2017. He has since then not been a part of Pakistan side across formats. The England tour is a massive chance for Sohail Khan to make a comeback into the side after a span of two years. In one of the warm-up matches he picked up five-wicket haul in the English conditions.

Sohail Khan looks a fit to bowl in England with his current form. He is also in touch with Pakistan legend Waqar Younis, who has taught him the art of late swing. Sohail said that he follows Younis wherever he goes as he has abundance of knowledge and there is plenty that he can run from him.

“I am eager to learn from Waqar Bhai. I follow him wherever he goes and speak to him about the art of bowling as he has an abundance of knowledge to share. A few days back I was struggling with something while bowling, I thought of reaching out to him and even before I spoke to him about it, he said he knew what I wanted to talk to him about and he explained it to me in a minute,” Sohail Khan said in a release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan will return to international cricket with their tour to England slated to get underway from August 5. The tour will consist a three-Test series which concludes on August 25 followed by three-match T20I series which will run from 28th to 1st September.

It will be second series straight for England after hosting the West Indies in a Test cricket.

Sarfaraz Ahmed was the captain of the Pakistan side the last time they toured England in 2018. The two-Test series ended in 1-1 draw that year.
