It is always a good story to write about when India wins a match in their backyard. After losing the first T20I against Bangladesh, the Indians came from behind to seal the T20I series 2-1 in a grand fashion under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Coming to the Test series, Indian national cricket team led by Virat Kohli comprehensively got the better of Bangladesh and registered a 130-run innings victory.

Now they will be looking forward to playing their first pink-ball Test at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Ahead of the historic day-night match, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly added that Virat Kohli will be more than satisfied to see fans turning up in numbers at the Eden Gardens. Earlier, during the Test series against South Africa, the Indian captain was not pleased with full attendance at the stadiums.

He even went on to suggest that BCCI should plan for dedicated five-Test centres across the country. Though there hasn’t been any update regarding this, one would hope that the pink-ball Test would draw fans to the stadium. Both the teams stayed in Indore right after the conclusion of the first Test and started their preparations under lights for the Kolkata Test.
