Sreesanth Names The Best Batsman And Bowler Currently In International Cricket

The opinions regarding the best batsmen, best bowler, and the best all-rounder have been flooding ever since the lockdown. Several former and current players have expressed their views and many have common standpoints as to who it is. Like plenty of men, Sreesanth also believes that Virat Kohli is the best batsman currently. Among the bowlers, he named Jasprit Bumrah as the best. The Kerala pacer mentioned as such in a live session in Helo app.

In the last five years or so, Virat has transformed into a batting giant in all three formats. The present Indian captain averages comfortably over 50 in all the versions and the figure goes up to nearly 60 in ODIs. With 11867 runs at an average of 59.3 so far, Virat seems on track to become the highest run-getter in 50-over cricket.

Meanwhile, lanky pacer Jasprit Bumrah has also become a venomous fast bowler. Even though recent injuries and form concerns have given rise to inconsistencies, he has been a pivotal figure to some famous overseas Test victories. Bumrah has 68 scalps in only 14 Tests at a stunning average of 20.3.

As for Sreesanth, the 37-year old will complete his ban this year in September, making him eligible to play for India and Kerela. The veteran featured in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs, and ten T20Is from 2005 to 2011. Due to his animated celebrations, he has also faced numerous disciplinary actions for stepping over the line at times.

And as the world is struggling in battle with the COVID-19 pandemic, several nations have been put under quarantine. The government of India extended the lockdown to May 3, which was initially until April 14. Several cricketers took to social media, disclosing their lifestyle amid the isolation.

The Kerela speedster said that he is spending quality time with his family that constitutes of a wife and children apart from concentrating on staying fit. When asked about his love life, Sreesanth mentioned it was love at first sight with his wife named Bhuvneshwari.

“Just having a good time with my wife and children during this lockdown and focusing on my fitness.” Sreesanth stated as quoted by Hindustan Times.
