With Dinesh Karthik enduring another miserable outing with the bat, former India pacer S Sreesanth has opined that the wicketkeeper-batsman should not lead Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2020.

The right-handed batsman failed to deliver on Saturday as Kolkata Knight Riders went down fighting against Delhi Capitals while chasing an improbable total of 229. The KKR captain promoted him at number five ahead of in-form Eoin Morgan during the huge chase but failed to provide the team with the much-needed impetus.

At a time when the asking run-rate was more than 10, he managed just 6 off 8 balls. This was his third straight single-digit score in the ongoing competition, having scored 1 and 0 in his previous outings against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.

“Genuinely feel @Eoin16 should lead the side,(surly not*dk kolaimandaaaiii)World Cup winning captain should surly lead ipl side.I hope #kkr looks at this issue.nd win ✌?they need a leader who will lead from front like Rohit ,Dhoni or Virat..what a player.”

Delhi Capitals beat KKR in thriller:

Eoin Morgan played a quickfire knock of 44 runs towards the end and got good company from Rahul Tripathi (36) but the duo failed to provide the finishing touches. KKR finished their innings on 210 for 8.
