Raina and CSK had an infamous altercation prior to IPL 2020 as the veteran batsman decided to pull out of the tournament citing personal reasons. The decision didn’t go down too well with the management and hence a big question mark was placed on the veteran’s participation in the grand league.

Suresh Raina Has Been Mr. IPL

Suresh Raina is widely regarded as Mr. IPL in the famous league as he has been among one of the most consistent players in the history of the tournament. The China Thala has had a glorious career playing for CSK ever since the inception of the tournament back in 2008.

In the Indian Premier League, Raina has gone on to play 193 matches in the IPL and in these games, the veteran Indian batsman has scored 5368 runs at an average of 33.34 for the Men in Yellow. His void was clearly visible in IPL 2020 as Chennai Super Kings failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in their IPL history and finished on the last second position in the points table.
