While international cricket came to the fore ten days ago as England and West Indies battled in a thrilling Test match in Southampton, it remains on a standstill in India. India is rapidly becoming one of the hotspots of COVID-19, having recorded more than ten lakh cases so far. The sub-continent nation is presently third in the list behind the United States and Brazil.
In light of this, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has announced that no cricket would take place in India before August. The IPL, which was also postponed twice, is more likely to take place in the UAE. Hence, the likes of Suresh Raina, Mohammed Shami, and Piyush Chawla indulged in training for the possibility of IPL and also keeping themselves in touch with cricket.
Below is the video posted by Suresh Raina on his official Twitter account:

If not for the pandemic, all three cricketers would have plied their trade for the respective franchises in the IPL. Suresh Raina and Piyush Chawla would have played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) while Mohammed Shami would turn out for the Kings XI Punjab.
The yellow army secured the services of leggie Piyush for a sum of INR 6.75 crores, the highest price an Indian player went for in the 2020 IPL auction. Raina and Chawla haven’t played for India in more than a year now while Shami was part of India’s outfit that toured New Zealand earlier this year.
