Indian skipper Virat Kohli, on Wednesday, created history and added yet another feather to his already illustrious cap by becoming the fastest player to score 12,000 runs in ODI. The right-handed batsman achieved the incredible feat during the third ODI against Australia in Canberra.

Virat Kohli broke batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record to achieve the feat. Before the start of the match, he needed 23 runs to complete 12,000 runs and went on to play a 63-run knock. He achieved the feat in his 242nd innings, which is 58 innings quicker than Tendulkar. Tendulkar held the record for being the fastest to 12,000 ODI runs in 300 innings.
