It’s time for Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara to deliver again for Team India. Whenever the Test matches make its way, the automatic trump card for the Virat Kohli-led has been Pujara in the recent past.

With England series on its way, the cricket pundits once again shifted focus on the top-order batsman to revel in overseas conditions.

Though Pujara hasn’t been great on foreign soil, his recent stint for English county club Yorkshire has been successful. He registered the decent amount of runs for his side in the county and the Indian management is hoping for the repeat on the International scene.

Pujara added that it was just a normal chat and nothing really to get an insight. He further added that everything will be visible on TV as far as the insights are concerned.

”When I talk to Joe Root, I talk about international experience, the opponents, the different teams he has played against, as a batsman, as a cricketer how someone prepares, the kind of life one lives. You always discuss normal things, not always about cricket. I don’t think there is anything extra you need to know. There is enough footage. You know what their bowling strengths and weaknesses are,” Pujara quoted.

Apart from all the fears, his main criteria is to perform for the country whenever he would get a chance. Cheteshwar Pujara reiterated he wants to perform for the country and continue it successfully in abroad as well.

”There is nothing to fear about. With the way I have performed for the Indian team, the way I have contributed, I don’t think I need to fear about anything. At the same time, the team has understood the importance of my role and my contribution to the team. I don’t have to fear for anything. Obviously, when it comes to Test, I have a role to play for the team. Everyone understands that. The most important thing is to perform for the Indian team, which I have been doing,” he added.

However, Pujara is once again going to be the important part of the team in order to attain success in England. He has always delivered the goods when he played against the Three Lions in India. But, performing in the United Kingdom (UK) conditions is a task to be accomplished for Pujara.
