Indian Cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli, who attended the 6th Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi Memorial Lecture in Bangalore on Tuesday (June 12) admitted that the presence of Anushka Sharma, his wife and popular Bollywood actress makes the night more special.

Meanwhile, received the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for his contributions to the Indian cricket. Moreover, this is the fourth time in his career he has received this illustrious honour, most by any Indian cricketer.

???Following his phenomenal show in the past two seasons, Team India captain Virat Kohli will receive the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2016-17 and 2017-18) at the BCCI Awards in Bengaluru on June 12,??? the BCCI had stated.

Current India coach Ravi Shastri presented the award to Kohli. Kohli was immediate to point out the contributions of his wife while his speech. He also noted that her presence makes it more special.

???My wife is here so makes it more special,??? Kohli said.

The Afghanistan Cricket team was also present at the event, who will play their debut Test against India. The historic one-off Test will commence from June 14 at Bengaluru.

However, regular skipper Kohli will miss the game due to a neck injury he sustained during the IPL. As a result, he also missed the County stint with Surrey as a preparation for the England tour. He is likely to be fit for the tour to the UK and will give a fitness test at the NCA on June 15.
