The former England all-rounder, Ravi Bopara has showered praise on team India pace attack after their impressive performance in the tour of England.

However, India lost the five-match series by a 4-1 margin, but the fast bowlers were sensational bagging all the wickets during the series. Ravi Bopara feels the scoreline of 4-1 didn’t reflect on the performances of India, as he thought the series was quite close and wasn’t a 4-1 series.

He was impressed by the Indian pacers and felt that it had been the best Indian pace attack he has seen in the past 27 years ever since he started the following cricket. The pace attack led by Jasprit Bumrah was at their exceptional best and had the English top order batters under tremendous pressure in all the matches except the 2nd Test in Lords.

“India played rather well, and it wasn’t a 4-1 series; it was much closer, and I was really impressed by India’s pace bowlers. They were brilliant; the best of Indian seamers that I have seen in the 27 years that I have been following cricket. And Bhuvneshwar Kumar didn’t even play,” Ravi Bopara was quoted as saying by the Hindu.

India had a great chance of winning the opening Test at Birmingham. They had England on the mat especially in the 2nd innings when they reduced them to 96/7.

However, a great knock from Sam Curran helped the hosts claw their way back into the match. India would have backed them to chase down anything less than 200. Meanwhile, it wasn’t possible, as India failed to chase down 193.

They were outplayed in all three departments of the game in the Lord’s Test. However, they made a sensational comeback in the 3rd Test winning it quite convincingly in the end. India had a chance of winning both the 4th and the 5th Test. However, it wasn’t possible, as they lost both the Tests to surrender a 4-1 series defeat.
