International cricket is becoming competitive with each passing days and teams will have to be at their best to overhaul the opponents. More so, T20I cricket requires a lot of talent of skill as the game can change in a split second. Thus being consistent in this format is one of the toughest things for any side these days.

We at Cricket Addictor take a look at the top ten teams will most bilateral series wins in T20Is:

10. Bangladesh – 6

Bangladesh have played good cricket but have lacked the killer instinct which has hurt them badly against bigger opponents. They have some quality cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim in their ranks along with good bowlers but have failed to overcome the pressure situations.

The Tigers who have only six bilateral series wins in T20Is to their name will look improve their records in the coming days.

Afghanistan have made rapid progress since getting the full member status from the ICC. They have played some excellent cricket and have secured 12 bilateral series wins in the T20I format which speaks volumes about their growth. The Afghans have some very good spinners in their ranks who have led them and reaped success for their country.

Afghanistan will strive to improve more in the coming days and leave behind other teams and march towards the epitome of success.

Sri Lanka have left behind their glorious past and have struggled to produce quality players in the last few years. Since the likes of Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara, and Tillakaratne Dilshan announced their retirement, the Lankans have failed to find their replacement which, in turn, have hurt them across formats.

The Islanders have only managed to secure 14 series wins in the T20I format. As a result, they find themselves in the eighth spot in the list of top ten teams with most bilateral series wins in T20Is. Sri Lanka will have to revive their past and buckle up to catch up with the world-class teams.

West Indies are a dynamic side when it comes to T20I cricket. Although they have left behind their glory days in the ODIs and Test format, the team from the Caribbean Islands have enjoyed significant success in the shortest format of the game. They have won the two World Cups – the most by any team in its history.

The team have had some quality players who have made an excellent reputation for themselves as T20 cricketers. However, they have lacked success when it comes to bilateral series winning only 17 since the inception of this format in 2007. West Indies will look to better their statistics in the coming days.

The five-time World champions in the ODI format is yet to touch the illustrious trophy since its inception. Australia will be desperate to end their barren run when they host the ICC World T20 in 2020 in the months of October and November.

The Aussies have not enjoyed much of a success in this format despite boasting one of the best teams in the world. Australia have managed to win only 20 bilateral series since the inception of the shortest format of the game in 2007. The 2010 finalists will have the task of improving their record when they resume playing T20 cricket.

5. New Zealand – 21

New Zealand have been one of the most consistent sides across the globe and concentrates more on their performances without much media edition. Although they are yet to win the coveted title, the Black Caps have reached two semifinals of the competition in 2007 and 2016.

Besides, the Kiwis have 21 series wins to their name which helps them occupy the fifth spot in the list of top ten teams with most bilateral wins in T20Is. They have quite a few series lined up next and will hope to better their records.

4. England – 22

The newly crowned ICC World Cup 2019 champions have been the dominant side in the last four in the white-ball cricket. They have played aggressive cricket with skipper Eoin Morgan and the management backing the players to express themselves without any thought of failure.

England have so far won 22 T20I series to occupy the fourth spot.

3. South Africa – 23

South Africa is a force to reckon with when it comes to bilateral series despite struggling in the ICC events. They had some quality players in their ranks like the AB de Villiers and Herschelle Gibbs along with one of the best pace attacks of all time, which made the Proteas an excellent team.

Although they are yet to put a hand on the ICC World T20 trophy, South Africa have enjoyed good success in this format of the game. They have 23 series since the inception of the new format.

With time India have become one of the dominant forces in world cricket across all formats. They have some world-class players like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in their ranks, and the introduction of IPL in 2008 have made the Men in Blues strong in the world.

The champions of the inaugural edition of the ICC World T20, India have 25 series wins to their name which takes them to the second spot in the list of top ten teams with most bilateral series wins in T20Is.

Despite a poor run in the Test and ODI format of the game, Pakistan is one of the top teams when it comes to the shortest format. The 2009 World T20 Champions have been pretty consistent in T20Is winning 29 series – the most by any team in this format.

The presence of quality fast bowlers along with some good hitters, have strengthened Pakistan to be a top-ranked team in this format for quite some. As they look to improve in the other two formats, the Men in Green will have a daunting task of holding onto the good run.
