CoA Clears CAC to Pick India’s New Head Coach:
Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai on Monday has revealed that they’ve had cleared the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), to name India’s head coach.
The CAC is comprised of the three-member committee headed by Kapil Dev.

Rai also maintained that they’ve gone through the declaration submitted by CAC regarding any sort of conflict. Thus, it allows the three-member panel to take a final decision.
Navdeep Saini Founds Guilty for Breaching ICC’s Code of Conduct:
Team India fast bowler Navdeep Saini had been handed an official warning for his ‘unacceptable’ celebration during the first T20I against Windies in Florida.
Saini’s gesture following Nicholas Pooran had come under question with on-field umpires reporting it to the higher-ups.
Meanwhile, the Match Referee Jeff Crowe had proposed the sanction on the basis of Article 2.5.
With Saini receiving a one demerit point, he had further accepted the sanction for offence.
Nathan Lyon Claims 350 Tests Wickets; Australia Thrash England by 251 Runs:
Australian veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon has achieved a milestone by claiming 350 Test scalps during the Ashes opener at Edgbaston.
Lyon has become fourth overall Aussie bowler and second spinner after Shane Warne to snare 350 or more wickets.
Meanwhile, Australia has thumped hosts England by 251 runs at Edgbaston to lead the five-match series 1-0.
Mickey Arthur Recommends PCB to Sack Sarfaraz Ahmed: Report:
Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur, whose tenure is set to expire on August 15, has reportedly urged Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) cricket committee to hand the limited-overs captaincy to Shadab Khan.
Also, the reports surfaced that Arthur had suggested the board to appoint Babar Azam as a Test skipper.
Kevin Pietersen Lavishes Praise on Mark Boucher; Sees Him as South Africa’s New Coach:
Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has effusively praised leadership qualities of veteran wicketkeeper-batsman, Mark Boucher.
Pietersen believes Boucher can inspire Cricket South Africa (CSA) despite being in crisis at the moment.

Earlier, the CSA had released Ottis Gibson, whose tenure will complete in September 2019.

Rory Burns Creates Record to Bat on All Five Days of the Test Cricket:
England’s top-order batsman Rory Burns has become overall tenth batsman to bat on all five days of the Test match.
Earlier, on his Ashes debut at Edgbaston, Burns had slammed an excellent ton to make a statement after Alastair Cook’s retirement.
The southpaw slammed 133 in the first innings for England. However, in the second essay, he managed just 11.
