Bangladesh posted 139/8 in their 20 overs in the second T20I of the Nidahas Trophy 2018 at the R Premadasa stadium.
Bangladesh were put into bat first by Indian captain Rohit Sharma after he won the toss and chose to field first. India went into the match with the same line-up which played in the first match against Sri Lanka.
India made an early break-through as they dismissed Soumya Sarkar with the teams total at just 20. Sarkar lost his wicket for just 14 off a Jaydev Unadkat’s delivery. Shardul Thakur gave India another break-through two overs later as he dismissed the danger man Tamim Iqbal with the team’s total at 35.
Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim were then involved in a 31 runs partnership. Vijay Shankar, who was playing just his second match in Indian colours picked up the wicket of the most experienced middle order Bangladeshi batsmen Rahman.
Shankar got another wicket in his next over of the Bangladeshi skipper Mahmudullah Riyad who scored just 1. Liton Das played a handy innings of 34 before he was caught at long off, on Yuzvendra Chahal’s delivery.
Sabbir Rahman was the second highest run scorer for Bangladesh with 30 runs.
For India, Yuzvendra Chahal was the most economical bowler as he gave way just 19 runs in his four overs and picked up one wicket. Vijay Shankar picked up two wickets in his two overs and Washington Sundar went wicket-less in his four overs.
However, Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers for India as he picked up three wickets in his four overs.

No crowd. No energy from players. Raina dropped an easiest one.
Looks like a gully-mohalla cricket. Not an international match. #INDvBAN— ……… (@know_me_first_) March 8, 2018
Bangladeshis are unable to find boundaries today. Usually, they find them, cross them and make Aadhar cards too. #INDvBAN
