Yet another Rashid Khan special helped Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the second T20I and seal the three-match series with one game remaining.

The writing was very much on the wall when Rashid???s 4-fer restricted the Tigers to a modest 134 for 8. A disciplined show from Bangladesh bowlers early on revived their faint hopes for a while but in the end Afghanistan chased down the total quite comfortably.

Nazmul Islam, Abu Haider and Rubel Hossain kept the runs down as Afghanistan could manage only 56 for 1 in the first ten overs despite Mohammad Shahzad scoring a quick 24 early on. Usman Ghani struggled to get going and eventually fell for a 31-ball 21. Ashghar Stanikzai too struggle, taking 8 balls to score 4. But with such a small target to chase, all Afghanistan needed was one quick innings and it was provided by Mohammad Nabi. Samiullah Shenwari kept the innings intact while Nabi did the hitting as Afghanistan went on to seal the series.

Shenwari scored 49 off 41 while Nabi remained unbeaten on 31 off 15 balls to take his side home with more than 2 overs remaining.

Earlier in the game, Shakib Al Hasan???s decision to bat first was proved wrong straightaway by Shapoor Zadran as he accounted for opener Liton Das for just 1. Mohammad Nabi then dismissed Sabbir Rahman for 13 to leave the Tigers reeling at 30 for 2. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahman then stopped the rot for a while. At the end of the powerplay, the Tigers were 42 for 2.

But before the duo could put up a big stand, Nabi struck again to send back Rahim and end the stand which was worth 45 runs. With Bangladesh in dire need of some quick runs, Mahmudullah played some fancy shots right from the start but could not last long. He scored 14 off 7 with the help of one four and a six before being castled by Karim Janat.

Bangladesh???s innings then got derailed when Rashid came into the attack. The leggie finished his spell with astonishing figures of 4-0-12-4. As a result, Bangladesh fell from 101 for 4 in 15 overs to 108 for 8 in 18 overs. In the end, they could only manage 134 runs.
