Twitter In Awe Of Jasprit Bumrah And Mohammed Shami As The Indian Pair Adds 77 Runs For The 10th Wicket

Well! It is fair to say that while England prepared for Rishabh Pant, the duo of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah came out of the syllabus for them on the fifth morning.
England got off to a perfect start on the fifth morning as they got rid of the danger man in Rishabh Pant, who nicked off to Ollie Robinson.
Ishant Sharma made a valuable contribution of 18 but when he was dismissed, it looked like things will fold quickly for Team India.
Except, it didn’t!
With Jasprit Bumrah having joined Mohammed Shami at the crease, England departed from their strategy of dismissing him and Shami.
Joe Root opened the field up and it was pretty evident that the ploy was to give Bumrah a taste of his own medicine.
There were quite a few words exchanged between Mark Wood and Jasprit Bumrah and then between Jos Buttler and the Indian pacer.
Wood did hit Bumrah on his helmet but what did was charge up the Indian pair even more.
While they looked to slog wildly during the initial phase of their innings, the duo settled down and played some cracking strokes, ones that would have made even the likes of Virat, KL, or even Root extremely impressed.
While Bumrah drove and flicked, Shami was even better, especially against Moeen Ali.
The right-hander leaned into a gorgeous cover drive off Moeen Ali before smashing him over the long-on boundary for a monstrous six to bring up his 2nd Test fifty amid thundering applause from the Indian crowd and the team balcony.
Shami [52*] and Bumrah [30*] played out the entire session to put India in a position from which they can’t lose this Test match.
India are currently ahead by 259 runs with two sessions remaining in the game.

The last time at least two of India's #9, #10 and #11 hit 20+ in the same innings of an away Test was at Trent Bridge 2014 (Bhuvi 58, Shami 51). It happened to be the last non-weather-affected draw in England.#<!---->E<!---->N<!---->G<!---->v<!---->I<!---->N<!---->D

One of the most baffling passages of play I've witnessed live. It's all very well "giving Bumrah a taste of his own medicine" but the priority surely should still be dismissing him? England haven't given themselves the best chance of doing so this morning.

Horrible tactics from Eng. Why don’t the bowlers say no I don’t want 5/6 fielders on the fence – as how am I getting the batsman out skip. Will Eng go for these runs ? Remember when NZ set 270 of 75 overs & Eng never considered the chase. India win or draw for me @<!---->S<!---->k<!---->y<!---->C<!---->r<!---->i<!---->c<!---->k<!---->e<!---->t
