Heartbroken To Hear About The Demise Of Hardik And Krunal's Dad: Virat Kohli

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has expressed his condolences at the sudden demise of the father of Pandya brothers- Hardik and Krunal– Himanshu Pandya.

Himanshu Pandya, 71, tragically passed away on Saturday morning after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest, from which he could not be revived.

Hardik Pandya, who is currently preparing for the upcoming white-ball series against England, was at home at the time of the passing of his father.

His brother Krunal, on the other hand, who was participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, has left the bio-bubble created for the tournament due to the ongoing pandemic.

Captain Virat Kohli took to his official Twitter account to express his condolences to the Pandya family. He wrote:

“Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal’s dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two,” tweeted Virat Kohli.

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan also offered his condolences to Hardik and Krunal Pandya besides recalling his meetings with their father in the past.

”Remember meeting uncle for the first time at motibagh. He was so keen for his sons to play good cricket. My condolences to You and family. May god give you strength to pass through this difficult time @krunalpandya24 @hardikpandya7,” tweeted Pathan.
