The Pakistani opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman continues to toy with the Zimbabwe bowlers. After a brisk knock against India in the Champions Trophy final, he is enjoying his prime form.

He was the man of the match in the finals of Champions Trophy against arch-rivals India. Only once he has scored a single digit score in his last 9 ODI innings. Fakhar Zaman continues to toy with the Zimbabwean bowlers

His last 9 ODI knocks: 48 82* 2 54 12 60 117* 43* and 200* today. Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq now have the highest opening partnership in ODIs. He is the first Pakistani batsman to be added in 200 club.

The previous best was 286 that was set by Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya. Fakhar has also gone past Imran Nazir’s 160 to have the second highest individual score by a Pakistani batsman.

He is the only 4th batsman of Pakistan in ODI history to score 150 runs. He is averaging 277 on this tour.

The 28-year Fakher Zaman is currently standing on his career-best rank in ODIs. He recently jumped 14 steps ahead as he now stands on 24th position.

He also ranks number 2 batsman in the ICC T20 rankings.

His introduction in the National Team

Fakhar Zaman got introduced in Pakistan National Team ahead of Champions Trophy. However, he was sidelined in the first match against India.

In the second match of Pakistan against South Africa at Champions Trophy event, Fakhar Zaman made his debut.

He scored a quickfire knock of 31 runs off just 23 balls. This inning laid the foundation to his international dream and since then he never looked back post that.

He made two consecutive fifties against South Africa and England respectively. The fifties were followed by a magnificent ton against India.
