Vinod Rai says there won’t be any disruption in the ongoing India-Windies match despite specific association raising objections to the new complementary policies.
The cricket associations of Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata strongly objected the new policy.
They stated the ‘restricted entitlement of complimentary passes is not enough for them’. However, Vinod Rai already assured there would be no disruption for upcoming India-Windies matches, as they have their backup plans ready.
“We’ve no doubt about the policy. Whether or not any association is able to stage the games, the schedule won’t be disrupted. The matches will be held as per the plan,” and added “We’ve backup plans ready. Our professional team of Rahul Johri, Hemang Amin and Saba Karim are working towards this.” Vinod Rai said.
Moreover, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) will soon take its decision to organise the upcoming T20 international between Windies and India. The match will be held on November 11, as they already conducted an internal meeting on Wednesday regarding the matter.
Furthermore, Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has sought ten crore INR in advance to organise that match. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is now also in objection to the new policy.
“These associations have given compliance to the new constitution and now how can raise objection to the policy that has been clearly outlined the new constitution,” and added “We have associations willing to host the games. The schedule won’t be disrupted.” Vinod Rai added.
Meanwhile, Vinod Rai will hold a meeting on October 10 with the team management. Captain, vice-captain, coach and chief selectors along with some key personnel will also be part of the meeting.
This meeting will be a broader one in comparison with the previous thoughts. The media policy of the team, board, players and even the policy of wives will get decided at the meeting.
