IND vs SL: Watch – Spinner Praveen Jayawickrama Knocks Over Hanuma Vihari On Day 2 Of Pink-ball Test In Bengaluru

Sri Lanka National Cricket Team spinner Praveen Jayawickrama knocked over India National Cricket Team batsman Hanuma Vihari on Day 2 of the second and last Test match of the series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

India’s No.3 batsman Hanuma Vihari, who scored 31 runs in the first innings, was batting very well in the second innings of the pink-ball Test match. He added amazing 56 runs with skipper Rohit Sharma and 18 runs with former skipper Virat Kohli before getting dismissed.

Vihari was castled by young spinner Jayawickrama on the 1st ball of the 34th over. The spinner delivered a fuller length ball around the off-stump and Vihari without covering the line went for the sweep shot but he failed to make any contact with the ball and the ball sneaked underneath his bat to rattle the top of the off-stump.

Vihari was disappointed after getting out and the Bengaluru crowd was silenced. Overall, he was able to score 35 runs off 79 balls, including 4 fours in the second innings of the game.

Sri Lanka Score 109 Runs In Their First Innings

On Day 2, Sri Lanka started where they left on Day 1 and their struggle continued against the world-class bowling unit of the Indian team. Sri Lanka lost the wicket of Lasith Embuldeniya in the 33rd over and they reached the 100 runs mark in 33.5 overs. Then, Sri Lanka lost three quick wickets of Suranga Lakmal, Niroshan Dickwella, and Vishwa Fernando to get bundled out for 109 runs in 35.5 overs.

The best bowler from the Indian team was premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who bagged a five-wicket haul. Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin picked 2 wickets each while Axar Patel got one wicket.
