India U19 captain, Prithvi Shaw, is expected to make his comeback in the Mumbai team, as he will be playing in the team’s third contest of Vijay Hazare Trophy against Tamil Nadu on February 8, a report in Sportstarlive.com suggests.

Shaw was included in the team for the tournament, as the officials were confident of Prithvi playing February 6 game for the state. However, the India U19 team touched down in Mumbai yesterday (February 5), which automatically ruled out Prithvi from Mumbai’s today’s contest against Gujarat.

However, he seems to be set to play in Mumbai’s third game of the season. The U19 captain scored 261 during the World Cup with the highest score of 94.

In the final, he could not do well and scored 29 runs while his opening partner, Manjot Kalra, shone and scored a match-winning century to lead India U19 to a title victory for the fourth time in the history.

Prithvi’s comeback to the Mumbai side will mean that one of Jay Bista and Akhil Herwadkar will have to make way for the youngster. While Bista had scored 102 runs in two innings, Herwadkar had 86 runs to his tally. The decision to rule one of them out of playing XI will not be easy for the captain, Aditya Tare.
