Saurashtra were hopeful of Jackson getting fit but he was officially ruled out of the tournament, yesterday (February 6).
Courtesy Jackson’s hundred, Saurashtra posted a big total of 286/7 on the board in their first game. Cheteshwar Pujara too played a good inning of 60 from 92 balls. Chhattisgarh tried their level best to chase down the total but ended on 254/9 at the end of the 50 overs.

Coming to Saurashtra side, their contest against Jammu and Kasmir would be the last game of the tournament for Jaydev Unadkat, who has to fly to South Africa for the T20I series. He was named in the squad for the domestic tournament for a couple of games.
He will be flying to South Africa along with KL Rahul and Suresh Raina. Rahul was also named in Karnataka squad for the first two games of the tournament while Raina is not playing the tournament as he is in NCA, working on his fitness.
These three players will fly to South Africa for the T20I series while Kedar Jadhav, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Shami will return to India as they are not a part of the T20I side. They can also be available for their state team if their teams qualify for the second round of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
