Chennai Super Kings’ skipper MS Dhoni turned back the clock at M Chinnaswamy Stadium last night as his aggressive show with the bat was on display in the final over of the match.

It was none other than Umesh Yadav who leaked 24 runs in the final over when CSK needed 26 to win and in the end, RCB prevailed by just 1 run to keep their hopes alive.

Enroute his knock of 84* of 48, that included seven sixes, MS Dhoni did not just give a massive scare to RCB but also created history by hitting longest six of this year’s IPL.

Prior to him, it was Hardik Pandya’s six against  Royal Challengers Bangalore that was on the top but Dhoni overpowered Pandya’s record and muscled the ball out of the ground.

Pandya had covered a distance of 104 metres with his hit against Virat Kohli and co.

Chris Lynn comes third on the list and he had also created the record against RCB only.

The KKR opener hit a six that covered a distance of 102 metres.

Gayle had created the record against Mumbai Indians while Umesh Yadav muscled the ball for 101 metres against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

MS Dhoni was nowhere in the list prior to last night’s contest and is now topping the list, courtesy his effort with the bat that almost sealed the victory for the Yellow Army.

The CSK skipper had done all the tough task by hitting 24 runs on the first five balls.
