Virat Kohli And Jasprit Bumrah At The Top Of ICC ODI Rankings, England Lead Team's Rankings

England and New Zealand players have made significant gains in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, released by the governing body on Monday. England and New Zealand played out a thrilling final on Sunday. The scoreboard could not decide the winner and England were awarded the title on the virtue of hitting more boundaries.

The latest rankings took into account performances from the semifinals and the final. In addition to England and New Zealand, Australia and India were the other semifinalists. Kane Williamson, who won the Man of the Tournament award, reached a career-high 799 points after the semifinal against India, in which he scored an important knock of 67.

The New Zealand skipper finished the World Cup on 796 points, gaining two points from his two matches. Ross Taylor also made a significant gain and finished at fifth place after reaching a career-best 841 rating points earlier in the tournament. Ben Stokes has also made a significant gain. He ended the tournament at a career-best 694 points and gained five places to jump to 20th spot.

Jason Roy has also broken into the top ten for the first ten after his sizzling 85-run knock in the semifinal. India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja has made a huge gain, jumping 24 places to 108th position for his 77-run knock against New Zealand. India skipper Virat Kohli continues to remain at the top of the table followed by his deputy Rohit Sharma.

In the bowling department, Chris Woakes has finished the competition at a career-best 676 points after picking up six wickets in the semifinal and the final. India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is at the top of the points table. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan continues to lead the list of all-rounders while  second-placed Stokes has reached a career-best 319 points.
