Team India fans could not have asked for a better reaction from their stars against Bangladesh after the defeat against England in the ongoing World Cup. The Virat Kohli-led side bounced back in style to beat Bangladesh by 28 runs and seal their spot in the semifinals. India became the second team after Australia to book a place in the last four. But more than the game what captured the fans’ attention throughout the game was the way an elderly fan named Charulata Patel cheered for Team India.

The 87-year old caught everyone’s attention with her sheer passion for the team. Unsurprisingly, she took the internet by storm as fans across the world hailed her for her enthusiasm and passion. After the game ended, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma took some time out and walked up to her to thank her for her support. The two also sought her blessings.

And as if that was not enough, Virat Kohli has assured Patel of giving her match tickets for the remaining matches of Team India. India will play at least two more games in the tournament. They will next take on Sri Lanka in their final league game before playing the semifinal. Patel revealed that Kohli insisted her to attend the remaining matches of the Indian team and even promised her to arrange the tickets.

“They came to meet me, shook hands, touched my feet. I was on chair, they didn’t let me get up. I gave them my blessings. I hugged and kissed them,” Patel told The Times Now. Kohli told me that I will have to come a couple of time more in the tournament. I told him the tickets are not easily available to which he said not to worry and that he will arrange them for me. I had never thought I will get to meet these cricketers today but it was my dream.”

Talking about the match, India were pretty much clinical with both bat and ball to see of Bangladesh. The Men in Blue piled up 314 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs before bowling out Bangladesh for 286.
