Former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly is confident that Virat Kohli and his boys will do well if they play Day-Night Test matches.

Meanwhile, BCCI has recently turned down Cricket Australia’s offer to play pink ball Test. Moreover, India will play a four-match Test series against the Aussies starting from December 6. However, there will be three T20 internationals prior to that.

Previously, Ravi Shastri admitted that the team will take at least 18 months to prepare for the Day-Night Test.

Meanwhile, the Aussies have so far played three day-night Tests in Adelaide and won all three. After three consecutive years of day-night Tests at Adelaide to begin the summer, there will be a change this year.

India can win day-night Test

Ganguly maintained that India have enough quality in their ranks to win day-night games. Further, he also noted that it is the way forward and it won’t be a trouble for the Indian team.

Day-Night Test is the way forward. Every country has to play Day-Night Test. India have reservations but that’s a long-term future for Test cricket,” Ganguly told IANS.

They (India) are a good side, they will win day-night Test matches also. There is no difference in day-night Test matches and day test matches. It’s just a different ball. And they are such class players, they can win,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ganguly also stressed that the upcoming tour to England and Australia to prove India’s character. Moreover, the Kohli led side is currently the No 1 ranked team in the ICC Test Team Rankings.
