The champion player of West Indies Andre Russell showers words of praise on the skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team Virat Kohli. The hard-hitting batsman lauded Virat Kohli for being the proper entertainer by knocking runs across the formats with ease. The all-rounder spoke about the India’s run-machine ahead of West Indies team locking horns with India in limited-over formats.

Andre Russell is currently part of the Northern Warriors franchise in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Andre Russell spoke about the Indian skipper and his hunger to score runs for the team. He hopes Virat Kohli to continue the same for India to entertain fans by delivering goods across the formats.

“He (Virat) is a tremendous player. Sometimes, you may have to put five-ten words together to actually describe him as a player. He is such a determined guy. Virat is a true champion. I just hope that he can keep entertaining the fans. He has been performing well in Test cricket, ODIs and T20I cricket. He is a proper all-around player,” Russell said on the sidelines of the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 league.

Further, comparing batting techniques, Andre Russell quoted that there is a huge difference between him and Virat Kohli in terms of technique. He feels Virat Kohli is pretty smooth, classic and termed himself as an awkward player, who depends on power to get those runs for the team.

“Virat’s technique is a lot different from mine. It’s more classical than mine. I am more awkward batter where my technique is not that smooth,” Russell said. My technique is all about power and brute force. I try to hit the ball as hard as possible off every delivery I face,” he added.
