With Royal Challengers Bangalore out of IPL 2020, its captain Virat Kohli has joined team India’s bio-secure bubble created in Dubai for the upcoming tour of Australia. Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a defeat to SunRisers Hyderabad on Friday in the Eliminator in Abu Dhabi by six wickets, eliminating them out of the tournament. Hence, Virat Kohli has moved to the national team’s bubble now.

As soon as the IPL 2020 gets done and dusted, the 30-man squad picked for the tour down under will make their way. The men in blue will lock horns with the Australians in three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests with the leg beginning with the first ODI on the 27th of November. The highlight of the visit would undoubtedly be the four-match Test series as India will look to defend their Border-Gavaskar Trophy against a full-strength host, unlike the last time.

Commenting on the Eliminator clash against SunRisers Hyderabad, the right-handed batsman said that 131 was not enough to keep the SunRisers down. At the same time, Kohli credited his team for making the task challenging for the Orange Army and acknowledged that Kane Williamson proved to be the difference.

If you talk about the first innings I do not think we had enough runs on the board. We made one helluva game in the second half, the positions we got ourselves into in the second half.. It is a game of margins and if Kane (Williamson) was taken there then it is a different ball game,” Kohli told in the post-match presentation.
