The all format captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, recently opened up about wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s habit of being late. As a result, captain Kohli desires to gift his spinner a watch to keep track of time.

Kohli, in a brief interview on the sidelines of a promotional event, also took a jibe at Chahal’s petite stature as he mentioned that the watch would have a rubber strapping. This is due to his thin body which would make every strap a ‘little loose’ on him.

I would give (Yuzvendra) Chahal a watch because he is always late. I will give him any watch, (for him) just to keep a check on time. It will have to be a rubber band strap or something because all the other straps will be a little loose for him,” answered Virat Kohli when asked about any player he would like to gift.

During an interactive session, Kohli also suggested that he is a lazy person when at home as opposed to his hyperactive character on the field.

I am very smart about what I eat: Kohli

I can sit and not move for hours. As much as energy I show on the field but when I get time at home, I can be a total vegetable. I can be very annoying because I do not move at all,” replied VK when asked about his activities on free time, according to Hindustan Times.

Since 2012, Virat made an incredible body transformation which helped him achieve supreme fitness on the field. In a previous interview, VK claimed that he tries to stay away from unhealthy food as much as possible.

You cannot live without carbs; as a human being you have to eat carbs. But what kind of carbs you eat is important, that is what I keep a check on. People tell me ‘you have not eaten carbs in six years’. I tell them ‘you got to be joking; I will be on the hospital bed’,” responded the Indian skipper, when questioned aboit his cheat meal.

At the end, Virat stated that he is very smart and selective about the things he eats. “I am very smart about what I eat, that has been the main factor for me. I would probably have a gluten-free dessert, (which) is made of natural sugar. But I do not get those cravings anymore,” concluded Virat Kohli.
