There is no doubt about the fact that Team India skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers going around. Ever since taking on the reign from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Kohli has made things clear to his teammates. In order to be eligible to play for India, one has to remain at the top of his fitness.

We can say that this current Indian side is by far the most athletic and agile Indian team we have seen so far. Most of the players are so fast in the outfield that batsmen are always worried about returning to the crease in time.

Kohli maintains a strict fitness regime and diet. In some of the earlier interviews, he mentioned that how he survived with roasted chana for three months to make an athletic figure.

As we all know Kohli was a roly-poly cricketer when he first broke on to the scene.

Fitness wasn’t really his cup of tea. However, he has gone on to prove that if you have the dedication you are bound to succeed.

A challenge to the aspiring cricketers:

In a video shared by the man himself, he gives a challenge to all aspiring cricketers to run faster than him.

In the video, Kohli can be seen completing three runs in 8.90 seconds. And eventually, challenges other cricketers to emulate the feat.

“Think you can run faster than me? Here’s my fastest time for 3 runs. Pad up and send a video of your fastest 3 runs mentioning #NewLevels and @PUMACricket. @mandeeps12 let’s see if you can beat 8.90 sec mundeya,” he wrote.

It can be clear from the video that fast Kohli actually runs between the wickets. It will require some doing from fellow cricketers to emulate his feat or better it.

Kohli has been in sublime form across all three formats of the game. He is currently leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Vivo IPL 11.

Virat Kohli-led RCB franchise has failed to make an impact and languishes at the bottom of the table with just a couple of wins from six encounters.
