The much anticipated India’s tour of England is still more than a month away but legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne knows what is in store. Warne has predicted that Team India skipper Virat Kohli will have a prolific time in the United Kingdom (UK), which will commence in July and extend till September.

Kohli had a poor run, the last time he toured England but Warne feels that the charismatic skipper will nail it this time around.

The 29-year-old Kohli managed to score just 134 runs from his 10 innings in five Tests at an unhealthy average of 13.40. The batter struggled to negotiate the swing and bounce and eventually failed to read the line and length of the English bowlers.

Kohli to come good:

The star batsman will look to get vital match practice as he is set to play for English County Club Surrey in order to prepare for the alien conditions.

Apart from the one-month stint, he is likely to play a limited overs series, providing him ample match practice before the Test series.

“India face England first; perhaps the only place which Virat hasn’t yet nailed. And I think he will nail England this year. I think Virat will have an unbelievable series in England which will hold him in good stead in Australia also,” he told India Today.

India set for acid test

India will play a series of three Twenty20 Internationals, as many One-day Internationals, and a five-match Test series.

The Men in Blue will also play a two-match T20I series against Ireland. Skipper Kohli is likely to miss the first game due to his prior commitment with Surrey. Even though no official announcement has been made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the cricketer.

Virat Kohli is currently leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side in the ongoing IPL. Kohli has been among runs of late and he will look to keep the purple patch going in the time ahead
