Two pure entertainers of the game, Shahid Afridi and Virender Sehwag are on the same couch in a candid interview taken by The Quint. The swashbucklers of the game shared a lot of interesting things in the conversation.
During the course, the duo also revealed the toughest opponents they ever faced in the game. Both the stalwart players have performed tremendously for their countries during their times and also bagged many experiences as well.
Shahid Afridi, Virender Sehwag disclose:
So, without any further delay in revealing the names, both the entertainers of the game termed each other as the tough opponents on the field. It was started with Virender Sehwag, who quoted facing Afridi was tough.
As ever, Virender Sehwag used his sense of humour citing he was always feared whether Afridi bowls on his pads or his head with such a pace in his spin bowling.
Meanwhile, the former Pakistan skipper initially said no such player found him tough. Later, he continued saying the only batsman he found a bit difficult in dealing was Virender Sehwag.
“If there is one bowler I was scared of it was Shoaib Akhtar. You didn’t know which ball he would hit on your shoe and which one on your head. And he has hit many bouncers on my head. I was scared of him but had fun hitting balls from him too,” Virender Sehwag said.
“As such, I wasn’t scared of anyone but the one player it was difficult to bowl to was Sehwag. He has such different batting stance which makes me a bit off the radar,” Shahid Afridi said.
However, it has been a fun session with both the stalwarts of the game. Currently, Shahid Afridi is on his way to participate in Afghanistan Premier League while Virender Sehwag is doing various roles in Indian cricket.
