Time and again, MS Dhoni has fared poor enough to get under the hammer. Though he contributes, the pace at which he scores runs keeps everyone worried. Meanwhile, the veteran India keeper fell at the wrong end of things during the Vizag T20I against Australia. As India struggled to find the rhythm in the middle overs; courtesy a cluster of wickets falling – MS Dhoni didn’t get enough support to get his team past the par score. What’s worse? He didn’t rotate the strike nor could find gaps. As a result, the hosts managed 126 for seven in 20 overs and lost the game by three wickets.
Ageing Dhoni has cost India, again!
It’s not for the first time, India didn’t take hold of a situation when MS Dhoni is around. Though, by stats, he is perhaps the greatest finisher in limited-overs cricket; Dhoni’s prowess has dipped with passing age. During the Sydney ODI in Australia early this year, he managed to score a 50 – but took nearly 90 plus balls to reach there. Thus, the pressure got built, and India had to face the wrath at the end of the match.
Coming to the Vizag T20I, MS came to bat at number five. KL Rahul, who looked settle at that time, dropped the hat and got out soon after. It was a matter of time before Dinesh Karthik, and Krunal Pandya fell as well. Reeling at 100 for six in 15 overs, it all boiled to Dhoni to get India close to a par score.

However, what unfolded later, left the Indian fans disappointed. MS Dhoni, along with the tailenders managed a mere 26 runs in next five overs with a couple of boundaries. Not only this, MS didn’t take as many as eight singles – also failing to compensate it by not hitting either of fours or sixes. As India lost the close encounter, fans on Twitter bashed the veteran Indian for his slow innings (29 off 37 balls)
Here is how Twitter reacted –
MS Dhoni's strike rate of 78.37 is the second-lowest by an India batsman in a T20I innings of 35+ balls https://t.co/c04Gk6L3Kp#IndvAus

On the other hand, #MSDhoni had dissapointed me today with his managerial skills albeit having much expertise .Had he got one boundry for us , we would have easily won the match .Still no jousting, we will do better in next match .

#MSDhoni is the unknown risk for India in #WorldCup2019
His mindset can cost very dearly #TeamIndia in knockout stage.
Every bowler now knows his shortcomings and exploiting them.
Selection committee should select players on current form not on past accolades. #INDvAUS https://t.co/rciOBOn9ub

On the risk of being trolled. I have another suggestion…
Dhoni should start playing #Dream11 because he is one of finest brain in world cricket today and Dream11 is about 'Khelo cricket, dimag se…'#MSDhoni #INDvAUS #IndvAus #AUSvIND
