The veteran Pakistan all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez grabbed the attention following his demotion from the central contract.
Hafeez recently took micro-blogging website, Twitter to clarify all the news regarding his future problems.
It all started from the Zimbabwe tour when Mohammad Hafeez was asked to open in the final ODI of the series. Professor refused to open citing it will be an injustice to his teammates who displayed some excellent performances in the last match.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board recently announced the list of central contracted players. Hafeez, who featured in category A faced a demotion who occupies category B in the new menu.
However, the veteran said he is playing for Pakistan with respect and pride, and not for money.
Following his demotion, many television channels claim Mohammad Hafeez has other plans. However, they contended that Hafeez has decided to hang his boots.
However, with his latest Tweet, it seems there was no factual information, and that was merely a hoax. The 37-year-old all-rounder said he is happy to serve his beloved country while staying at any category.
Mohammad Hafeez further added he is ready to help Pakistan irrespective of being in a particular group.
Babar Azam faced promotion in the central contract
The new number three batsman of Pakistan, Babar Azam got promoted in the central contact though. It seems Babar had taken the perennial position of Mohammad Hafeez. It is worth noting that only six cricketers feature in the category A of central contracts.
Earlier, there were rumours that Pakistan head coach, Mickey Arthur do not want to see Hafeez in the national side. It was believed Mickey Arthur wants only young blood to be in his team and was against the selection of Hafeez against Zimbabwe.
