Unlike most of his compatriots and his former teammates, ex-Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has not really been vocal on the recent political tension between India and Pakistan. The likes of Shahid Afridi, Javed Miandad as well as several other cricketers have not shied away from taking shots at India.

Well, the legendary pacer has finally spoken publicly on the political issues although he didn’t really take a shot at India. He, however, was all praise for his former skipper and current Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at UNGA. Imran Khan has been facing criticism from all around for the same.

While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke like a true statesman, Imran Khan decided to use the platform for his recent propaganda against India. The World Cup winner decided to speak on Kashmir even though the world has accepted that it is India’s internal matter.

While Mr Modi stuck to speaking on issues that has been worrying the entire world, Imran Khan looked hell bent to tarnish India’s image. He  spoke for 50 minutes, going over the stipulated 15 minutes, without caring about the constantly blinking red light that reminded him that he needed to wrap things up.

As expected, Imran Khan has been receiving praise from his compatriots and Wasim Akram also made sure to follow suit. The ex-cricketer-turned-commentator took to Twitter to praise Imran Khan. He lauded Imran Khan for finally presenting Pakistan’s stance in front of the world, tweeting:
