Fast-bowlers have traditionally been the most aggressive individuals in the game of cricket. More often than not, one sees the pacers sledging the batsmen and giving them send-offs. However, Pakistan starlet Naseem Shah looks like a big exception. The highly-rated 16-year old came up with an unbelievable gesture after dismissing his senior compatriot Fawad Alam in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy clash between Central Punjab and Sindh.
Fawad Alam was just 8 runs short of a well-deserved century. This is when Naseem Shah made him edge an outgoing delivery to the wicketkeeper.. And moments later, Naseem Shah left everyone surprised with his gesture. Instead of celebrating the important wicket, the teenager gave a beautiful send-off to Fawad by standing with folded hands.
Here is a clip of that beautiful incident:

Fawad Alam, who last played for Pakistan in 2015, is one of the most decorated batsmen in Pakistan’s domestic circuit. The left-handed batsman has so far amassed more than 11,000 first-class runs at an average of over 55 with the help of 31 tons. Speaking about the game, Naseem Shah picked up 6 wickets for 78 runs in the game to further enhance his reputation.
The match, however, ended in a draw. Naseem Shah has been the talk of town since Pakistan included him in their Test squad for the upcoming series in Australia. All eyes will be on the youngster when Pakistan take on Australia in their own backyard.
“Everyone is excited to get him in the team also and see how he bowls in Australia. It will help that he can bowl in good areas. He can bowl really well with the new and old ball. He is doing that in first-class already. We are looking forward to him putting the ball in the right areas at that pace, it could be a surprise packet,” Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq recently said.
