Watch: Faf du Plessis Castled by Jasprit Bumrah as He Misjudges the Line

When Jasprit Bumrah was handed his maiden Test cap on the morning of the opening Test between India and South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town, many experts and ex-cricketers felt that it wasn’t the correct decision to give Bumrah a Test break.

However, the lanky speedster has proved in the series so far that he is no pushover with the ball in hand even when it comes to the longest format of the game. He has bowled some terrific deliveries in the series so far, and it was evident for one more time when he castled Faf du Plessis with a brilliant inswinger.

Du Plessis didn’t offer a shot and ball went to crash on to the stumps which gave India their 5^th breakthrough of the innings. South Africa started the day on 6/1, still trailing India by 181 runs. There was a great partnership of 64 runs between Kagiso Rabada and Hashim Amla which helped the hosts recover from the early strikes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the pick of the Indian bowlers in the match and has already prized out three batsmen including the likes of AB de Villiers with a big inswinger which breached his defence and disturbed his timbers. South Africa are currently 113/5 with Amla and Quinton de Kock at the crease and still trails India by 74 runs.

Earlier in the match, it was half-centuries from the blade of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara which propelled the visitors to a relatively competitive score of 187, especially on a pace-friendly track.
