India A captain Hanuma Vihari was dismissed in a crazy and bizarre manner in the ongoing four-day game against New Zealand A. Rachin Ravindra and Dane Cleaver joined hands to execute the dismissal that left Hanuma Vihari utterly surprised. The India Test star was well settled and enjoying his outing at Hagley Oval on day one of the match.
Having crossed the fifty-run mark with the help of eight fours, Hanuma Vihari was looking set to notch up a big score. However, those hopes soon disappeared as he was dismissed in an unexpected manner. Luck completely deserted the right-handed batsman as he departed after a well-made 51.
Hanuma Vihari connected really well when he played the sweep shot off spinner Cole McConchie. However, he hit the shot directly into the shin of Ravindra at silly mid-on. The ball bounced all the way back to where it came from and New Zealand A wicket-keeper Cleaver calmly pouched a simple catch.
Hanuma Vihari could not believe his luck and signaled with his hands that the ball might have bounced before hitting Ravindra’s shin. However, it made little difference as he had to eventually walk off.

Talking about the game, New Zealand A have taken a firm grip on the proceedings of the game. The hosts bowled out India A for a modest 216 with Michael Rae being the pick of the bowlers. He took 4 wickets for 54 while McConchie finished with the figures of 3 for 33.
