While the just-concluded final of the ICC U19 World Cup between India and Bangladesh lived up to the expectations, it also turned out to be ill-tempered clash. Emotions ran high right from the start as Bangladesh players showed aggression from the word go to unsettle Indian players.
And things got out of control so much in the end that the players were also involved in physical altercation after the game ended. As soon as Rakibul Hasan hit Atharva Ankolekar for a single to cross the 170-run target, the Bangladesh players ran onto the pitch in a wild manner to celebrate the historic feat.
But amidst all these, things got nasty when one of the Bangladesh reserved players said something to the Indian players. The Indian players did not take the comment kindly and it led to pushing and shoving. But before things could get out of control, the umpire intervened to calm down the players.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh won the game by three wickets. Chasing a target of 178, they got a revised total of 170 after rain interrupted the game for a while. At 102 for 6, Bangladesh were in a spot of bother. However, their captain Akbar Ali played an impressive unbeaten knock of 43 to take the side home.
Earlier in the game, India batsmen failed to deliver on the big stage. While in-form opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 88, the other batsmen failed to get going. India, in fact, lost their last seven wickets for just 21 runs to be all out for 177.
