Just because all the major cricket series or tournament are suspended, it doesn’t mean its stars can down tools. Cricket is one of the worst hit sports due to the coronavirus pandemic. As things stand, there is no series or tournament that is being going on right now.
And so cricket stars are making sure to keep themselves fit while being isolated at their home. England fast bowler James Anderson is not an exception either as the veteran pacer is making sure to keep himself as fit as possible even while practicing social distancing and self-isolation.
The England fast-bowler posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday where he could be seen working out. In the adorable video, the 37-year old could be seen getting help from his two daughters during his training sessions at home. James Anderson could be seen doing bench-presses at home by lifting his daughters with his two arms while lying on the floor.
“The girls are more than happy to help me train at home,” James Anderson captioned the video. Anderson has two daughters – Lola Rose (11) and Ruby Luxe (10) – with wife Daniella Lloyd.
James Anderson was not a part of England’s Test side that was recently in Sri Lanka for a two-Test series. The series was called-off last week as a precautionary measure to protect the players, officials, and fans from the spread of the coronavirus, which has infected over 200,000 people and caused nearly 8,500 deaths in 164 nations so far.
The two-match Test series was scheduled to start on March 19 in Galle. England’s next international assignment will be at home against the West Indies. They will host the Caribbean outfit for 3 Tests from June 4.But as things stand right now, it would not be very surprising if that series is called off too.
