Chris Lynn and Jasprit Bumrah finally locked horns against each other on Friday, a day before the start of IPL 2020. The fans must have been looking for the duel ever since Mumbai Indians signed up the Australian in the previous players’ auction.

As soon as the deal was confirmed, Chris Lynn had taken to Twitter to express his delight over the same. Apart from the perks of joining the most successful side in the history of IPL, Chris Lynn was also relieved at the prospect of not having to face Jasprit Bumrah in the upcoming IPL season.

“Great City, Quality Franchise, Flat wicket, Don’t have to play against @Jaspritbumrah93. Can’t wait for @IPL 2020,” he had tweeted.

The India pacer had then welcomed the right-handed batsman with a cheeky message, saying that he would have to face him in the nets, tweeting:

“Haha, welcome to the team! @lynny50 You’re still going to have to face me in the nets. ?”

Well, the contest finally took place this week and it won’t be wrong to say that there was no clear winner. The franchise posted a short clip of the duel on their official YouTube channel. Lynn struggled to play his usual big shots although he did play one big shot.

Here is a clip of the duel between the two:

Meanwhile, IPL 2020 start on Saturday with a mouth-watering clash between Mumbai Indians and last year’s runners-up Chennai Super Kings. Lynn is likely to warm the bench at least in the initial phase of the competition as Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock will open the innings for the side.

Jasprit Bumrah, on the other hand, will play an integral role for the team once again. The responsibility on him will be even more this season as veteran Lasith Malinga has pulled out of IPL 2020 citing personal reasons.
