Despite the second-best score of Australia being 13 runs, Neilson’s massive contribution helped Australia seal a victory in the penultimate ball of the final over. Kasun Rajitha and Lakshan Sandakan were the star bowlers with 3 wickets each. Earlier, Oshada Fernando scored 38 for Sri Lanka.

The knocks from Wanindu Hasaranga down the order helped Sri Lanka to post 131 runs on the board.  It was expected that Australia would chase down the tally with ease but the lovely display of bowling from Sri Lanka made it tough for Australia.
