India’s first innings in Perth didn’t start on the best of notes, as Mitchell Starc breached through Vijay’s defence and cleaned him up on zero. Murali Vijay, who is already under the hammer for his poor scores got dismissed at the stroke of lunch. Meanwhile, the bowling pair of Hazlewood and Starc troubled the openers in their brief spell.
Murali Vijay poor run continues in Perth

Though Starc got criticised for his average show in Adelaide, the pace spearhead delivered a beautiful delivery to bowled Murali Vijay. The left-armer, initially, kept it wide and then brought one in, which Vijay couldn’t prevent from playing and thus got out.
Now, with India’s score reading 6-1 at the moment, trailing by 320 runs, the batsmen to follow need to take charge.
India wraps Australia’s tail rather quickly
Going by the norm of Indians finding it tough to go through the tailenders, they had done a pretty good job by restricting Australia to 326 in the first innings. At stumps on day one, the hosts were reeling at 277 for six with captain Paine and Cummins on strike.
However, on day two, Umesh Yadav gave India the first breakthrough in Cummins. He bowled a peach of a delivery to dis-launch his bails. A few overs later, Bumrah, India’s best bowler so far trapped Paine in front.
With the last two wickets left in the kitty, it was Ishant Sharma who got the better off Starc and Hazlewood. Moreover, India’s frontline bowler picked four wickets in the first essay and helped India dismiss Australia on 326.
