Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni knows exactly how to keep himself fit. He is indeed the fastest runner between the wickets for the Indian national cricket team. Taking a trip down the memory lane, MS Dhoni ran like a tracer bullet to outsmart Hardik Pandya in a race during a training session.

Case in point, MS Dhoni took part in a Tennis tournament in his hometown, Ranchi and it was good to see him trying his hands in the different sport. The experienced wicket-keeper batsman won the first game in the men’s doubles category. The former Indian captain had earlier spent 15 days with the Indian Army in the valley where he served on guard and patrolling duties.

He then left for the United States where he participated in an amateur golf tournament before returning to his hometown Ranchi. A video clip of MS Dhoni spicing it up in the Country Cricket Club Tennis Championship at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi is doing the rounds on the internet platform. In the initial game of the tournament, MS Dhoni and his partner Sumeet Kumar Bajaj got the better of their opponents in straight sets with relative ease.

The 38-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman was last seen in the Indian dressing room after the end of the third Test between the India and South Africa at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi last month. In fact, it was his first-ever appearance in the Indian dressing room since the end of the 2019 World Cup as he was spotted having a candid chat with his teammates and head coach Ravi Shastri.

MS Dhoni was not picked in the team set-up for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh with India’s chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad and the management making it clear that they are moving on from MS Dhoni in the limited-overs circuit, meaning that it will give birth to opportunities to young prospects like Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, both of whom are part of the T20I squad against Bangladesh.
