The game between Beximco Dhaka and Fortune Barishal in Bangabandhu T20 Cup was marred by the incident that took place between Mushfiqur Rahim and his younger teammate Nasum Ahmed. Mushfiqur Rahim, who was leading Dhaka, almost hit Nasum after losing his cool.

The incident took place on the final ball when the two players barely avoided a collision when Mushfiqur Rahim made a sprint to take a catch. It was clearly Nasum’s catch who was standing at short fine leg. He was shaping for the catch when Mushfiqur Rahim ran around 10 yards from his position and took the catch.

But while taking the catch, he bumped into Nasum and lost his cool thereafter. In a disgraceful turn of events, the veteran threatened to throw a punch at Nasum. He was also seen scolding his younger teammate before other players intervened. Later, Mushfiqur Rahim issued an apology and was also fined for his conduct.

Mushfiqur Rahim involved in another incident:

Before nearly hitting Nasum in the 17th over, Mushfiqur Rahim was involved in a similar incident with the same player in the same match. The incident took place in the 13th over of the innings when Nasum was in the middle of the second over of his spell.

Afif Hossain came down the track to play the ball towards the vacant mid-wicket region and aimed for a couple. To stop the opposition batsmen from running two, both Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasum ran towards the ball and the former was successful in keeping them down to single. And on that occasion too, the wicketkeeper had threatened to throw a punch at his teammate.
