WATCH - "Naagin Is Back" - Dinesh Karthik Mocks Bangladesh As Snake Interrupts Game In LPL 2023

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik took a hilarious jibe at Bangladesh Cricket Team after a snake interrupted play during the second game between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

In what was a hilarious moment, the snake made a surprising entrance in the field ahead of the start of the 5th over of the second innings. The reptile was seen moving across the boundary rope and it forced umpires to stop the game till the snake moves away from the field.

The video of the snake moving around the field at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo went viral on the internet and it caught players by surprise. In the clip fourth umpire can be seen walking behind the reptile, pushing him to move out of the ground.

The social media was flooded with memes on the event but the best reaction came from Dinesh Karthik, who is part of the commentary panel in the ongoing Ashes 2023. The keeper-batter mocked the Bangladesh team, who often does Naagin gestures during games. 

Taking to his Twitter account, Dinesh Karthik said: “The naagin is back I thought it was in Bangladesh.”

Notably, Dinesh Karthik too was at the receiving end of Naagin gestures by the Bangladesh team during the Nidhas Trophy in 2018. But he replied back with his bat as he single-handedly won his side the match. 

LPL 2023: Galle Titans post a total of 180 runs 

After being asked to bat first, Galle Titans didn’t have a great start with the bat as they lost Lasith Croospulle early but after that, Shevon Daniel (33) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (48) played vital knocks to bring their side back in the game. Shakib Al Hasan (23) then along with Dasun Shanaka (42) played blistering cameos down the order and helped their side post a total of 180 runs on the board. For Dambulla Aura Shahnawaz Dhanai was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 2 wickets.
