The 16-year-old fast bowler from Pakistan Naseem Shah has been hogging the limelight over the past one week for all the right reason. He became the youngest player to make his Test debut in Australia when Waqar Younis handed him the debut cap at the Gabba in Brisbane ahead of the first Test against the Baggy Greens. And the young pacer is already making his presence felt.

Shah, who has just seven first-class matches under his belt, has been the talk of the tour from even before he landed in Australia, with footage of his exploits in a short domestic career going viral. When Naseem Shah made the ball talking against Australia A in Perth everyone sat up and took notice of a fast bowling prodigy. And rightly so, earned his debut Test cap.

Naseem Shah fires up Brisbane

He lived up the expectations when Shah clicked 90mph with every delivery of his first over in a Test match. The speedometer showed 145.3, 147.6, 143.9, 144.4, 147, and 147.7 kph in the six consecutive deliveries of his first over. He has made David Warner and Joe Burns worked hard for their runs. Especially, Warner looked in problems against the young Naseem Shah. Although he returned wicketless on day two as Australia took the honours, but the fiery first over will be in the memory of every cricket lover.

Meanwhile, Australia dominated the proceedings so far as David Warner remained unbeaten on 151 runs securing a lead of 72 runs. Joe Burns was unlucky to miss his century by three runs before Yasir Shah removed him. Naseem Shah went wicketless shelling away 65 runs from his 16 overs. Previously, Pakistan managed to score only 240 runs in the first innings with Asad Shafiq returning as the highest run-scorer with 76 runs.
