Coming to the game, it was an absolute nail-biter, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats till the end. Chasing 158, the Gladiators looked well out of contest when they needed 25 off the last over. However, Anwar Ali hit three sixes and a boundary to bring down equation down to three off the final delivery.  But they could manage only 1 off the last ball and lost the game by 1 run.

Earlier in the game, the Zalmi had scored 157 with former England allrounder Liam Dawson scoring a 35-ball 62 with six boundaries and four sixes. Zalmi will now take on Karachi Kings in the second eliminator in Lahore on Wednesday and the winner of that match will face Islamabad United in the final in Karachi on Sunday.

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
